Every tool except the plier head locks, so the knife, the saw and the file can all be worked under load. The outside-accessible blades open one-handed and with gloves on, without unfolding the tool — the reason a Wave+ ends up on the belt of electricians, riggers and maintenance crews rather than in a drawer.
